Well, my mom moved on Monday and today she closes on our family home. I went over there on Tuesday and of course, with all the memories neatly packed away at the new condo, our home was just a house. As an Accredited Senior Agent (ASA designation) I'ved realized first-hand the stress and detail involved in moving. Some things were just so overwhelming for my mom that she didn't know what to do. Fortunately, I did and between my sister Mishele and I, we did a pretty good job of creating a calm environment for our mom.

Quite often I'm asked by clients if they have a recommendation of a moving company. I usually hmmm and haaaa because frankly, I've never had great experiences. My mom looked in the Yellow Pages and interviewed three companies. One of the gentleman showed up while I was there one day. I stood there with my arms crossed because of my skeptical protective nature. The guy gave us his presentation and in and of itself, I wasn't necessarily impressed. At the time, I didn't think I needed to know about 100% guaranteed on insurance and breakage, etc. We hired him as his rates seemed reasonable. This is where that initial service went from okay to WOW. On moving day, the guys showed up and efficiently got my mom's stuff together; some of the items were going to Mishele's place. My mom was cross with them a few times until Mishele finally said, "mom, relax, they are just doing their job." My mom had forgotten some items at the house and they went back..... twice. My sister thanked them and the one fellow said "There is a lot of stress in moving; we try to make things as comfortable and stress free as possible." These guys were so kind, patient and efficient, I can't begin to tell you. Consequently, I now have them on my recommendation list for clients.
